NH2022 May Update

A reflection from NH Board member Ali Knight

Dear Friends, excitement is growing, expectation is rising, and many practical plans are now in full swing for New Horizon 2022.   As a Board, we have been discussing planning and praying about this event for well over a year now.   At one stage we even wondered would we actually be able to gather in person.  Praise God now a “real life” New Horizon is on our horizon.

Although we are so thankful we managed to carry on with New Horizon online, with an incredible army of people behind the scenes making it possible, we have so missed gathering together in person to worship and grow together.

We are absolutely thrilled that at long last, we can be in the big top.  I can’t wait for the “buzz” of all ages in their different programmes. I’m looking forward to those chats in the coffee queue, to exploring our faith in seminars and to having a sense of family of all ages and stages united again.

I am personally so deeply expectant about this year’s theme exploring “Renewed Minds – challenges and possibilities”.  Oh how we need the mindset of Christ as we navigate so much in our lives and our world in these days. I am coming, as I’m sure many others will be, with a desire to see my mind renewed.   I hope that we may know how to cling to the truth of who we are in Christ in greater depth, to explore the reality of how our minds can be renewed and strengthened, even in the midst of our circumstances or struggles.

My prayer is that this special week together reminds us again, how we can be transformed in our minds so that we are no longer held captive but rather released to flourish in freedom, day by day.  I hope too, that as our minds are captivated by God’s truth again, we will also be better equipped to show others what it really means to see the renewing work of God’s word and His Spirit in our lives and the freedom that brings in these days and the days to come.

Partner in the vision

New Horizon exists be used by God, through the power of His Spirit to inspire a selfless surrender to His Son, a radical obedience to His Word, an enduring passion for His Kingdom and an unconditional love for His World.

Giving to New Horizon is an opportunity to partner in this vision.  Main tent events and seminars are free for everyone to attend and we want to keep it that way.  Registration fees in the Children/Youth Programmes are subsidised and free places are available for families who cannot pay.  Your giving enables this ethos of generosity, so please give generously as you are able.

Thank you for your support
