Parking is available on campus and is free of charge at weekends and after 7pm in the evening (after 5pm on Fridays). Please do not park on the grass verges in Cromore Road as this causes significant problems for residents and obstructs the footpaths. Payment can be made by presenting a credit/debit card at the barrier on entry and again on exit and the system will calculate the tariff due. Alternatively you can take a ticket and pay at the pay stations on campus. Car parks are within walking distance but there is also a free shuttle bus service between the University car parks and the New Horizon tent both morning and evening. There are disabled parking bays in each of the University car parks for cars displaying the official Blue Badge. A few limited disabled spaces are available in the car park adjacent to the New Horizon tent and there is also a drop off area for cars / minibuses.
New Horizon is a non-residential event however accommodation is available on campus and should be booked directly with the University Accommodation office – https://www.ulster.ac.uk/accommodation/summer-bookings
Alternatively there is ample holiday accommodation in the local area –
New Horizon does not charge people to attend as we want to be as accessible to as many people as possible. We depend largely on volunteers to run the event and the bulk of our income is from donations through the year from our regular supporters and gifts collected in offerings during the event. There is a café area within the tented village that provides refreshments and light meals morning and evening. There are extra express coffee points within the main tent from 11.00 – 11.45. Refreshments can also be purchased within the main University buildings.
