Dear Friends

The last few weeks have seen plenty of storms, both literally, as the weather forecasters seem to move rapidly through the alphabet, and figuratively as world events spin out of a control. It is so easy for our minds to be filled with anxious thoughts as we watch events unfold in the Ukraine and pray for all those affected.

This year’s theme for New Horizon “Renewed Minds” seems so relevant. It recognises the difficult realities of life but looks at them from a “heavenly” perspective.

We are looking forward to what our Lord Jesus has to teach us through the ministry of our speakers as we come together once again in the big blue tent in the grounds of Ulster University in Coleraine. Please plan to join us.

John Risbridger – Bible Teaching

Meet John Risbridger

John Risbridger serves as Minister and Team Leader at Above Bar Church in city centre Southampton. He is also a trustee of the UK Evangelical Alliance which he serves as Chair of Council, and has a long association with the Keswick Convention.

Bible teaching and whole life mission lie at the heart of John’s work, along with an interest in the theology and worship – he is author of “The Message of Worship” (IVP Bible Speaks Today). He is married to Alison who works closely with him in ministry, and teaches English to adult speakers of other languages.

John will lead our morning Bible Teaching at New Horizon from Monday 8 August to Friday 12 August.
