Easter Update

New Horizon NI

Christ is risen! – He is risen indeed, Alleluia!

Chairman Paul Gilmore writes:  As we celebrate Easter, we realise that through Jesus’ death and resurrection, we can be extra ordinary. Please join with us from 3-9 August when we will unpack how this “treasure” in us shows that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.

With the clocks changing and flowers starting to bloom. It means it just four months to NH2024! We have a  tremendous line up of speakers who will be digging into the Word of God to explore our theme: EXTRA Ordinary.

When it feels like Christians are a minority whose influence is declining, we must not retreat in self-protection.  We need courage to stand firm and move forward with confidence in Christ. Our power to influence is not in our ordinary selves – our strength or understanding – but in our extraordinary Saviour – His power and wisdom – who is at work in us by the Spirit.

But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.  (2 Corinthians 4:7)

There is no adult registration required to attend New Horizon – just come along! Registration for the Children’s & Youth Programme opens on Monday 6 May.   Why not ask a family you know if they would like to go to New Horizon?  Accommodation is available in the University campus or in the surrounding area.

Do you have questions about some of the practical details of New Horizon?  Why not check out the Frenquently Asked Questions page on our Website.

New Horizon is for the whole family.  We believe God who “knit me together in  my mother’s womb,”  cares for each one of us from the youngest to the oldest (“Even when I am old and grey do not forsake me, O God, until I declare your power to the next generation…“) Please pray for all our children’s and youth programmes from the Creche and Scripture Union to the SU SEN programme, On the Edge, Livewire and Salt Factory Sports.  Pray for sufficient volunteers and for each child and young person who will attend.

We are deeply grateful for God’s provision for New Horizon and especially for our monthly supporters who provide financial stability to the ministry.  Each one of you is a vital part of our team. Thank you!  If you would like to become a monthly partner or to give a one off donation, please use the link below this enables you to spread the cost of New Horizon and ensure the ministry can continue and bless many others.
